複数の体にゆるく流れるエンパシー。絡み合うアフロヘアで、繋がりへの欲、現代ならではの透け感のある共有、その心地よさを表現しました。広く狭く窮屈で自由な、アフロヘアのように空気をたっぷり含んだ繋がりを、私も大切にしたいと思います。

揃いのコスチュームに、一体となった揃いのアフロヘア。同じであることで芽生える仲間意識への快楽によっていつの間にか出来上がる共同体への依存性を表現しました。実際に繋がったアフロヘアを装着したモデルたちも初めて会ったのにも関わらず、不思議な一体感に心地よさを感じているように見えました。ふわふわアフロで繋がれば誰でもきっと仲良くなれます。なんて、どこかの国の偉い人同士を勝手に繋げてみるという妄想がちょっと面白いです。

Empathy flows loosely between multiple bodies. With this interwoven afro wig, we expressed the desire for connection, the transparency of sharing in modern times, and the comfort that comes with it. I also want the kind of connection this expansive afro creates: broad but close, close-knit but free.　

Matching costumes and interlocking afros. We expressed the dependency on community without realizing it that comes from the comfort of commonality and its conformity. The models just met that day, but sharing the afro wig gave them a sense of oneness. When you’re connected by an afro, it’s easy to be friends. We should do it to world leaders.
