Relief of challenge. Unexpected jubilation
Renounce the world I’ve seen before, witness the dance of creation in the world of genesis.
These photographs are the visual experiment, which suggest bewilderment, labyrinth, imagination, and quest.

音もなく、匂いもなく、深い霧に覆われて
視界もなく、なにもない。
僕らが灰の砂漠に着いた時に感じることが
できたのは、ほとんど温度だけだった。
それから少しずつ視界が開けて、
黒い大地と白い空だけが見えてきた。
僕らはその地で、白と黒が配合されて
新しい生命体をつくるという、
創作ダンスを記録した。
ちょうど30年前の大噴火ですべてが
リセットされた場所、三原山。
名前は子宮を表す「御腹（みはら）」に由来する。
なにもないというのは、とても美しいことで、
そこから何かが生まれるというのは、
とても尊いことだと思った。

There was nothing,
No sound, no odor, and nothing to see due
to the blanket of thick mist.
Nearly all we could feel upon arriving on the ashen desert was heat.
Then, the black land and white sky slowly came into view, but nothing more.
On that ground we recorded a dance of creation to produce new life forms blending white and black.
Mt. Mihara’s tremendous eruption 30 years prior reset everything to a great mass of ash.
The name Mihara comes from a word that refers to the uterus.
Since the nothingness is so beautiful,
I thought that whatever may be born from there would be quite sacred.

よだれが出ない女将。思い通りにはいかない島。
挑戦の安堵。予定外の歓喜。
見たことのある世界を捨て、
創世の地で創造の舞を目撃する。
これらの写真は、
困惑と迷宮と想像と探求を提案する視覚実験。
